The recently remodeled Oakdale church will be the subject of a dedicatory service Sunday afternoon.  The Rev. George Nehf is pastor of the church which is located southeast of Paullina.
Martin Dornbusch was reelected to the board of directors of the Paullina Independent school district and Dr. D. L. Widmer elected to his first term to fill the two vacancies voted on here in Monday's election.  Both received 92 votes in what was most certainly the closest election in the district's history.

Lange's Cafˇ's second story annex is being completely remodeled and enlarged to accommodate large numbers for banquets and organization meetings.  Partitions have been removed and the walls and ceilings have been covered with decorative nuwood in modernistic colors.
Neighbors of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Jipp, who live southeast of Paullina were  given a housewarming Monday evening.  The
evening's entertainment was cards and visiting.  Refreshments were served at a late hour, that had been brought by the guests.

The Sabbath was severely disturbed last Sunday evening at about six o'clock when the evening train arrived.  The occasion was the arrival home from Sioux City of our real basketball team.  Their arrival was honored by the band coming out together with a large crowd to welcome the visitors.  It was a noisy time for a while and a real welcome, a fitting testimony of the appreciation of their splendid work in the tournament at Sioux City.
One of the biggest pipe organs in this part of the state will be installed probably in May in the gallery of St. Mary's Catholic Church at Alton.  The organ is now under construction by the Tellers-Kent Pipe Organ Co.
